According to Reuters’ analysis of data released recently by the American Bar Association, Baylor Law School has achieved one of the highest employment rates in the nation for its 2024 graduating class. With an impressive 95.45% of Baylor Law’s juris doctor graduates securing full-time, bar-passage-required positions within ten months of graduation, the school ranks third nationally among the 195 ABA-accredited law schools.

The latest figures place Baylor Law School behind only Duke Law School (97.83%) and Cornell Law School (96.43%) in this crucial employment metric, which is widely regarded as a critical measure of a law school’s performance.

“This recognition reflects the commitment of our students, the dedication of our faculty and Career Development team, and the rigor of our academic program,” said Dean Jeremy Counseller. “It is gratifying to see our graduates so well-prepared and in high demand across the legal profession."

Reuters noted that the ABA reported a nationwide employment rate of just over 82% for 2024 juris doctor graduates secured bar-admission required jobs, setting a record despite a larger graduating class than the previous year. Baylor Law School’s employment rate significantly outpaces the national average.
