Baylor Law’s nationally recognized moot court program gives students the opportunity to develop and test their appellate advocacy skills in competitions across the country. Because of its standing as one of the top advocacy programs in the nation, Baylor Law teams are regularly invited to compete in prominent state, regional, and national tournaments.
Moot court simulates appellate advocacy. Students research legal issues, prepare briefs or memoranda, and present oral arguments before panels of judges. Through competition, students strengthen their legal research, writing, reasoning, and oral advocacy skills.
Baylor Law students become eligible to compete on interscholastic moot court teams after completing their third quarter.
