Student competitors representing fourteen of the best transactional law programs in the country have been selected for Baylor Law’s eighth annual The Closer Transactional Law Competition. Set for MLK Weekend, January, 2024.
Baylor Law announces the launch of its Family Law Clinic, set to begin operation in fall 2024. This clinic aims to provide vital support to pro se litigants in navigating the complexities of family law cases, focusing on divorce and matters affecting parent-child relationships. Created with financial assistance from the Texas Bar Foundation, the clinic will address the increasing trend of self-representation among divorce litigants, especially those facing literacy and language barriers.
The Baylor Law Veterans Clinic proudly announces the 2023 Advocate of the Year Awards, recognizing exceptional commitment and dedication to serving the legal needs of Central Texas veterans. This year’s honorees are Dan MacLemore, partner at Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson, PLLC, and Hailee Yip (JD ’18), Associate at West, Webb, Allbritton & Gentry.
Baylor Law’s mock trial team won the 2023 Tournament of Champions (TOC), the second time Baylor Law has won this prestigious competition. The Baylor Law team of Gage Jones, Varun Reddy, Vivian Noyd, and Greta Andersen competed against 15 other national teams from top law schools, including Georgetown, NYU, California Berkeley, and UCLA.
