Getting to Know Esha Lohray
Why did you choose Baylor Law?
I chose Baylor Law because I wanted to attend a law school that would challenge me academically, while also equipping me with the tools to be an effective advocate for my clients in the future. What stood out to me about Baylor is its reputation for producing practice-ready attorneys through its exceptional curriculum and Practice Court program. There is a strong sense of purpose here at the law school, and I felt that Baylor was a place where my passion for advocacy and service could be nurtured.
What is your favorite thing about Baylor Law?
The people. What really drew me to Baylor Law is the community. Every faculty and staff member in this building truly cares for its students. I can feel that every day when I come to school. Baylor is one big family, and there is plenty of support for every student as we go through the journey of law school.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about law school?
My advice would be to really know your “why” for going to law school and hold that close to your heart. It will keep you motivated through the challenges of law school. I would also say to embrace the journey with an open mind, stay curious, ask questions, and make time for the things that keep you balanced and happy along the way. It’s a difficult path but a fulfilling one.
