Getting to Know Austin Lau

Why did you choose Baylor Law?

I chose Baylor Law because it is in the perfect location at the center of all major Texas legal markets and the academic rigor of creating trial-ready lawyers.

What is your favorite thing about Baylor Law?

I love how Baylor Law is the perfect size. My classes are small enough to know everyone on a first-name basis but large enough to be surrounded by diverse backgrounds of prior experiences and skills.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I plan on practicing IP litigation in Texas after graduation/

What do you do to relax/for fun, and/or what are you involved with at Baylor Law?

I coach the Baylor Rowing Club each morning and am involved with Student Ambassadors and with the Asian American Law Student Association.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about law school?

Don't be afraid to reach out to professors. The professors and staff are incredibly helpful and want to make sure you understand the material.
