Event and Speaker Approval Form
Baylor Law School offers a robust schedule of programming each quarter. In addition to Professional Development Program (PDP) seminars, faculty, staff, and student organizations regularly host academic, social, professional, and service-oriented events for students to engage in.
To ensure effective coordination of events and campus resources, all student organizations seeking to host an event, whether on or off campus, must submit a Speaker and Event Request Form. Organizations should not invite speakers or begin official event planning until the event has been approved by the Student Life Office (for general student organization events) or the PDP Committee (for PDP proposals).
General Student Organization Events
- Event requests must be submitted at least three weeks before the proposed event date.
- Late submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Requests are reviewed by the Student Life Office on Mondays.
- Organizations will receive an email from the Student Life Office with either:
- an approved date and next steps, or
- follow-up questions and comments.
Professional Development Program (PDP) Events
- PDP proposals must be submitted no later than the fourth Friday of the quarter preceding the quarter in which the PDP is proposed.
- All PDP proposals must be sponsored by at least two student organizations.
If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please contact the Student Life Office.
