Is Your Laptop Ready For Exams?
Exam4 by Extegrity is the software Baylor Law School uses to streamline and secure the exam process. To ensure a smooth experience, you must install Exam4 well before exam day and familiarize yourself with its features. Be sure to follow the installation instructions carefully and review best practices, such as fully charging your laptop, disabling auto-updates, and testing the software before the exam period begins.
Detailed instructions for installing and using the Exam4 software and other crucial information you must follow are below.
Exam4 Installation and Use:
- Find your exam number (Exam ID)
- Install Baylor Law’s Exam4 (macOS instructions here, Windows instructions here).
- Submit a Practice Test using your Exam number (can be done on any wi-fi network).
- Check that your Practice Exam was correctly submitted.
Preparing For Exams:
Additional instructions on preparing your laptop are provided via email within two weeks of the beginning of the exam period.

Best Practices for a Smooth Exam Experience:
- Before taking any actual exams, take a practice exam to familiarize yourself with the Exam4 interface.
- Turn off auto-updates.
- Do not make changes or updates to your laptop, including macOS and Windows updates, in the weeks leading up to exams.
- Turn off all other programs on your computer while using Exam4.
- Reboot your computer before each exam and open only the software necessary for the exam (Mac users - UN-check “Reopen windows when logging back in”). Unless you complete this step, the spell check window may be hidden during the exam.
