The Honorable Stephen Ables, BA ’71, JD ’73, has announced his retirement from the bench after serving 30 years as Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region of Texas and 20 years as Judge of the 216th District Court in Texas.
Margaret Voelter, JD '99, was reappointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Board.
Janice Davis, JD '86, became a partner at Haynes Boone’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group in Dallas, Texas.
William McMichael, JD ’17, was awarded the Texas Bar College’s 2025 Franklin Jones Best CLE Article Award.
Brittyn Brender, BBA ’99, JD ’04, was named Managing Director at Versant Capital Management.
Jason King, JD ’05, was appointed as Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
Stephen Netherton, JD ’13, was selected by the Wichita Business Journal as a Top 40 Under 40 Honoree.
Leslie L. Hunt, JD ’04, a Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Fort Worth, was promoted to Section Chief over Real Estate and General Services in Fort Worth, Texas.
Brian T. Robertson, JD ’16, has joined Barnes & Thornburg as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department in Dallas, Texas.
