Getting to Know Sofia Almanzan

Why did you choose Baylor Law?

I chose Baylor Law because it was the school where I felt genuinely valued as a person and confident that I would receive support in every aspect of my life—not just my career.

What do you do to relax/for fun and/or what all are you involved with at Baylor Law?

I serve as Secretary of the Hispanic American Law Student Association. I also compete on a moot court team and serve as an Associate Editor of the Baylor Law Review.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about law school?

The best advice I have received is that the demands of law school never truly end, so it is important to give yourself permission to take a break.
