Konnell Woods

Konnell Woods serves as a Legal Writing Associate in Baylor Law School’s Practice Court Program, where he works closely with students and faculty to strengthen core litigation skills essential to Practice Court, including motion practice and written advocacy.

Konnell was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and moved to Texas during the fifth grade. He began his collegiate journey at Lake Erie College, where he received an offer to play quarterback and compete in track and field as a hurdler. He later transferred to Baylor University, where he earned his degree in Political Science.

During his undergraduate studies at Baylor, Konnell was actively involved in campus leadership, serving as Co-Chair of Campus Involvement for Student Foundation and Vice President of the NAACP. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

After taking two gap years, Konnell matriculated at Baylor Law School. While in the program, he served as a representative for the Black Law Students Association. In February 2026, he earned his Juris Doctor degree, becoming the first in his family to graduate from law school.

Prior to serving as a Legal Writing Associate, Konnell worked as a substitute teacher for five years at Connally Elementary, served as a clerk at Sheehy, Lovelace & Mayfield, and completed an externship with Community Bank & Trust.

Outside of his professional work, Konnell enjoys training dogs, running, and community engagement. He is the founder of the 4Good Literacy Initiative, a program aimed at encouraging children to develop a love for reading. He is also an active member of Kingdom Vision Church Ministries in Pantego, Texas.
