Ed Nelson
Director of Marketing and Communications
Ed is responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing Baylor Law’s public relations, marketing, media relations, and communications activities. His goal is to enhance and strengthen communications with Baylor Law’s constituents and ultimately raise the profile of the Law School.
Ed also provides communications and public relations T.A. to Baylor Law faculty and staff.
Prior to joining Baylor Law, Ed was the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Minnesota Homeownership Center, a non-profit organization based in St. Paul, MN that empowered hundreds of thousands of Minnesota residents with the information they needed to successfully purchase or prevent foreclosure of their homes. He was also the founder of Centro Cristiano Nueva Esperanza, a Spanish-language church in West St. Paul, MN.
He was recognized as the Non-profit Employee of the Year by the Minnesota Mortgage Association in 2015 and was recognized by several organizations and elected officials for his work in public relations and advocacy during the foreclosure crisis and his work to close Minnesota’s minority homeownership gap.
Ed and his wife, Gema, have one daughter, a 2021 Baylor grad and teacher at Eagle Christian Academy.
