Competition: Iron Sharpens Iron
At Baylor Law School, we don’t shy away from competition. We recognize that it gives students valuable training, practical experience, and feedback that helps them improve.
Every Baylor Law student participates in at least one internal moot court competition and multiple mock trials during Practice Court. Students may also compete in internal Client Counseling and Legal Writing competitions.
Baylor Law also hosts three major interscholastic competitions each year. Top Gun brings together leading law school advocates for an intense mock trial competition. The Closer is Baylor Law’s invitation-only transactional law competition. The Paper Chase challenges law students to demonstrate their legal writing skills in competition with students from across Texas.
