Ashley Escobedo
- Circulation and Reserves Specialist
Ashley Escobedo is the Circulation and Reserves Specialist at the Baylor Law School library. In addition to ensuring that students, faculty, and staff have access to materials they need for their studies, she also handles Interlibrary Loan Requests for the Law School, makes the necessary updates to the Reserves Collection, and manages the crew of student workers needed to meet the needs of the Law School library daily. She loves working in libraries as reading, literacy, and books in general have always been her passion and, at times, her saving grace, and she hopes to instill that love of literature in others. Ashley has lived many different professional lives in industries such as retail, fashion, and service industries, but has always felt the most at home when working in libraries. In the stacks of the Waco-McLennan Library system to the Moody Library to the Law School Library, Ashley has dabbled in just about everything a library offers: reader's advisory, acquisitions, collection development, reference, research assistance, ILL, and program development to name a few. Ashley Escobedo grew up near Waco in the small town of McGregor, where she received her high school diploma in 2003. When she isn't at home or Baylor, you can sometimes find her at the Waco Farmer's Market, on a trail at Cameron Park, or in her car listening to a podcast when she should be grocery shopping. She resides in McGregor with her husband, children, spirited corgi, and cats.
