The Honorable Diane DeVasto, JD ’74, has been selected as one of five recipients of the 2025 Texas Bar Foundation’s Outstanding 50-Year Lawyer Award. The Outstanding 50-Year Lawyer Award is given to attorneys whose practice has spanned 50 years or more, recognizing their dedication to justice and adherence to the principles and traditions of the legal profession. These individuals are nominated and selected based on their outstanding contributions to the legal field and their service to the public.
The Honorable William Roy DeFriend, BBA ’88, JD ’90, was elected to Judge of the 77th Judicial District Court, serving Limestone and Freestone Counties, taking the bench on January 1, 2025.
Cade Browning, JD ’00, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Brandy Wingate Voss, JD ’02, has joined Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner as Of Counsel in Houston, Texas.
Brandy N. Robinson, JD ’05, was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott as the Austin County Criminal District Attorney for a term set to expire on December 31, 2026.
Arianna Smith, JD ’15, has joined Broussseau Naftis Erick & Massingill PC as Senior Counsel in Dallas, Texas.
K. Danielle Taylor, JD ’16, and Haley Bullard, JD ’18, have partnered to form Taylor, Bosworth & Bullard, PLLC in Lakeway, Texas.
Kenni C. Wilkinson, JD ’16, was promoted to Senior Counsel at Bracewell LLP in Houston, Texas.
Brittany Dudley, JD ’20, has joined Matador Resources Company as Land Administration and Land Counsel in Dallas, Texas.
Tylor Williams, JD ’20, became an Assistant Attorney General in the Solicitor General’s division of the USVI Attorney General’s Office.
