In 2024, the Baylor Law Entrepreneurship Clinic had the privilege of working with Gray Gillman, the founder of Plick, a cutting-edge platform revolutionizing private sales. Plick bridges the gap between traditional garage, yard, and estate sales and the convenience of online marketplaces, offering sellers and buyers an innovative, user-friendly solution.

Plick simplifies the selling process by providing tools such as inventory management, sale analytics, and real-time bid tracking. Sellers can list items effortlessly using advanced algorithms that streamline segmentation and titling. For buyers, the app offers features like optimized sale routes, real-time bidding, and personalized item searches, enabling a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience. 

When Gray learned about the Entrepreneurship Clinic through one of his professors at Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business, Gray saw an opportunity to address a critical business need: forming and organizing an appropriate business entity to carry out his start-up business. "The clinic was instrumental in handling all the legal paperwork, allowing me to focus on building the business," Gray shared. He praised the Entrepreneurship Clinic’s team, including Allen Page, the Director of the Clinic, and Trey Torres, Baylor Law Business and Transactional Law Associate, for their professionalism and dedication. 

Looking ahead, Gray envisions Plick becoming the standard platform for private sales. His ambitious goals include expanding the platform’s user base, enhancing accessibility, and growing geographically to support nationwide and even international sales. Additionally, Plick is committed to sustainability by promoting reuse and partnering with charities to repurpose leftover items. 

With its focus on technology, accessibility, and community, Plick is poised to redefine the private sales experience, making it as seamless as any major online marketplace.
