Adoption Day 2013
For the sixth year in a row, Baylor Law School hosted Adoption Day in McLennan County. On Nov. 22, judges, attorneys, community organizations, professional organizations, county employees, businesses and CASA volunteers gathered at Baylor Law to finalize adoptions and create forever homes for children in foster care.
Baylor Law students, faculty, alumni, and staff, led by Professor Bridget Fuselier and members of the Baylor Public Interest Society, transformed Baylor Law School into the Emerald City as 26 children and 16 families found that "there's no place like home."
Adoption Day in McLennan County is part of National Adoption Day, a national effort to raise awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families. This annual, one-day event has made the dreams of thousands of children come true by working with policymakers, practitioners and advocates to finalize adoptions and create and celebrate adoptive families.
