Sam Smith
Diversity and Event Coordinator
Sam joined Baylor Law as the Administrative Associate for Admissions and Financial Aid in January 2020. (Fun fact: She started a month before we had to go home and quarantine because of the pandemic.) She has been passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion work and helping the students feel a sense of belonging here at the law school since returning to campus in person. She now serves as Baylor Law School’s Diversity and Event Coordinator. Sam is a member of the Baylor University Academic Council for Diversity and Belonging, a part of the Baylor University AIM Leadership Collective Program, and a member of both the Baylor University Black Faculty and Staff Association and Latinx Faculty and Staff Association. Sam is a Waco area native and currently lives in Bosqueville with her family, her husband, Adrian, and her three children, Traylen (21), AJ (a current Sophomore at Baylor University) (20), and Aryanna (14).
Sam plans to finish her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Poverty Studies and Social Justice at Baylor University.
Sam is an active member of the Waco community and currently serves as the New Member Educator for the Junior League of Waco. Sam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, date nights with her husband, going to the movies, and traveling. Sam truly loves being a part of the Baylor family! Sic’Em Bears!
