Laura Obenoskey
Assistant to the Dean
Laura Obenoskey joined Baylor Law as the Assistant to the Dean in 1992. Prior to coming to the Law School, Laura worked as a legal assistant, training that prepared her well for working in the fast-paced world of law school administration. Laura's work encompasses many areas that touch on the day-to-day operations of the Law School, including budgeting, facilities management, alumni relations and communications, and personnel issues. She prides herself on working to make sure that the law school is a good steward of its resources.
Laura is a people person. It is not uncommon to spot students, faculty, and staff in her office asking for advice or assistance. She has a vast network of friends and colleagues across the campus, in the law school, and in the Baylor law alumni family. She and her husband, Darren, enjoy working outdoors on their property, entertaining, spending time with family (including six wonderful grandchildren), and traveling. They have four grown children, three of whom are Baylor University graduates.
