Katie Quillen
U.S. District Court, western District of Texas

Katie Quillen is currently a law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey C. Manske of the Western District of Texas, Waco Division. She recently graduated from Baylor Law in 2022. During her time at Baylor, Katie worked as a research assistant for Professor Rory Ryan and competed on three interscholastic moot court teams coached by Professor Larry Bates. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from Morehead State University in 2019. During her time at MSU, she was awarded a Celebration of Student Scholarship Certificate of Merit for her presentation entitled, “Identifying and Addressing Barriers to Self-Representation in Court in Probate Matters,” and was named the Outstanding Legal Studies Student of 2019.
Originally a Kentuckian, Katie moved to Texas in 2019 after she married her husband, Henry, to attend Baylor Law. She and her husband now live in China Spring. In addition to her clerkship, she serves as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law where she coaches moot court competition teams.
