Josh Candelario
Business & Transactional Law Associate
As the Business and Transactional Law Associate, Josh works closely with the transactional law faculty in all aspects of research, administration, and support for the transactional law program. He also acts as a “mid-level to senior associate” in the Entrepreneurship Clinic by reviewing and drafting documents for the Clinic’s clients. He is passionate about Baylor and relishes the opportunity to promote and expand the Transactional Law Department here at Baylor Law School.
A native of McKinney, TX, Josh moved to Waco to attend Baylor University with hopes of one day attending medical school. However, after taking courses in philosophy and ethics, Josh set his sights on a law career. Josh graduated from Baylor University in 2020, earning a Bachelor’s in Medical Humanities and a minor in Leadership Development. After completing his degree, Josh became a double Bear and graduated cum laude from Baylor Law in 2023. At Baylor Law, Josh focused his studies on estate planning, business planning, and federal income tax, earning the High A in Business Organizations II and Elder Law. Josh also volunteered with Baylor Law’s Estate Planning Clinic, drafting wills for veterans and first responders in the Waco area.
Josh avidly supports Baylor Athletics in his free time, attending as many events as his schedule permits. Entering his eighth year living in Waco, Josh has grown to love many of Waco’s local restaurants and enjoys opportunities to discover new restaurants and stores around Waco. When he returns to his hometown of McKinney, he also enjoys volunteering with Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, a legal aid organization serving the members of his community.
