Baleigh West

Baleigh West grew up in the Piney Woods of East Texas. Baleigh attended Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at Baylor, Baleigh worked with the Texas Hunger Initiative and advocated on Capitol Hill for continued support and implementation of policies to eradicate hunger in Texas.
Baleigh graduated from Baylor Law School in May 2020. While in law school, Baleigh competed at the Mack Kidd Administrative and Public Law Moot Court Competition and the National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare and Adoption Law. Baleigh and her partner won both competitions, and Baleigh was awarded Best Oral Advocate at each competition. Baleigh also competed for Baylor in the National Pretrial Competition, the American Bar Association Labor Law Mock Trial Competition, and the National Trial Competition. During her third year of law school, Baleigh won the James P. Alexander Memorial Award for her outstanding record in Baylor’s Practice Court program and the Fraley Firm Mock Trial Award for excellence in trial advocacy.
Since 2021, Baleigh has worked at the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office, representing the Department of Family and Protective Services in child abuse and neglect cases.
Baleigh enjoys reading, baking, and following the Golden State Warriors and Baylor Bears in her free time.
