  • LL.M. Associate

As the LL.M. Associate, Ilya works alongside the LL.M. faculty, providing administration and support for the LL.M. program. He holds Baylor Law School in high esteem, and he relishes the chance to provide whatever aid he can to Baylor’s LL.M. candidates. He also seeks to expand his own skills in litigation management, so he audits whatever LL.M. classes he can.

Ilya came to us from the sunny shores of Southern California, growing up in Los Angeles before graduating summa cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in political science. His love for political philosophy and justice led him to pursue a career in law. Ilya had family in Texas, so he chose to attend Baylor Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2023. At Baylor Law, he focused his studies on two vastly different areas of law: estate planning and criminal law. Since graduating and receiving his license to practice law in Texas, he has done contract work for a variety of litigation firms around Texas.

Ilya enjoys being active in his free time, and you’ll often find him in and around the tennis courts (and sometimes, Cameron Park). Since leaving the large metropolitan life behind and moving to Waco, he has become enamored with the medium-sized city charm that Waco offers. He’s called Waco home for over four years, and he’s excited to see how our city grows in the years to come.
