Centered around Women’s History Month, this event is designed to provide a valuable learning experience for students and alumni alike about Finding your path in the diversity of the legal landscape. The event will include, in addition to students, Alumni invited through the Office of Alumni Relations, and available female faculty. Before the event begins, we will offer an hors d’oeuvres buffet for the students, alumni, and faculty in attendance. This event is split into two parts: a table discussion and a panel discussion.
The event will begin with an introduction and a welcome followed by a time for table discussion. Each table will include an invited alumni to host the discussion and facilitate conversations about how to find your own path in the legal field. Each alumni host will be provided with discussion topics to guide the conversation and encourage conversation between students, alumni, and faculty.
The table discussion period will be followed by a half-hour panel featuring three attorneys who have established a name for themselves in their particular area of practice. Each panelist will have eight minutes to discuss the choices they made to bring them to their current practice area. Each panelist will discuss a different aspect of navigating the legal field: Elizabeth “BB” Sanford (JD ’17), The Sanford Firm; Jenny Forgey (JD ’18), Jackson Walker; and Ashley Hoff (JD ’94), McDermott Will & Emery.
A networking reception will follow the PDP, allowing available students and alumni to connect and discuss the panel topics.
