Timely publication is our priority. Baylor Law School operates on the quarter system. We publish books in the Fall, Winter,
and Spring quarters. We coordinate our publication schedules with quarters ending in late October, late January, and late April.
If your article is time-sensitive, then our priorities match yours.
The following is a general guideline for article submissions to the Baylor Law Review:
We accept articles by mail or by e-mail.
Please use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should conform to the 18th edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation,
and to the 10th edition (3rd printing) of The Texas Rules of Form. Please attach a cover sheet including your name, contact information
(address, phone number and e-mail), affiliation, biographical information, article title, and journal in which you seek publication
(fall, winter, spring).
We welcome articles of any length. We prefer any article submissions to be in Microsoft Word format. We will not consider any article
submitted in CLE form.
Because a limited amount of space is reserved for student articles, we only publish student articles written by members of the Baylor
Law Review and are, therefore, unable to publish articles written by students from other schools. Additionally, because our book is
oriented towards the practitioner, we do not publish book reviews or interdisciplinary articles.
Please address all manuscripts to:
Baylor Law Review
ATTN: Senior Executive Editors
One Bear Place, Box 97156
Waco, Texas 76798
If you wish to submit your article by email, please contact the Article Submission Office.
We review all articles received. The Senior Executive Editors conduct an initial article review within 3 days of receipt. Then, an article
that passes initial review undergoes faculty review. Next, an article that passes faculty review undergoes Editor-in-Chief review. We strive
to complete this review within a week. Please contact us if you desire expedited review.
The Law Review accepts article submissions during the entire year. However, please be aware that no articles are reviewed for the first
three weeks of August.
