POLICIES

Beverage, Food, and Tobacco Product Policy
Food, drinks, and tobacco products of any kind are prohibited in the Law Library.

Noise Policy
Please keep noise to a minimum while in the Library. This is especially important around exam time.

Fine/Collection Policy
Most reserve materials may be checked out for twelve hours or until the library closes with some exceptions. Reserve materials may be checked out overnight after 8:00 p.m.; they will be due at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. The reserve collection is made up of frequently-used items, previous tests and photocopied material deemed essential reading for students by the faculty. Some titles in the general, circulating collection may be checked out for three weeks. A fine is imposed on all overdue items. All library fines must be paid before receiving a diploma or registering for a new quarter.

Telephone Policy
"Local calls only" telephones are located in the following areas within the Law Library: Room 103; Room 302B; and the photocopy rooms. The Law Library does not page patrons for telephone calls.

Non-Baylor-Affiliated Patron Policy
The general public is authorized to use the Baylor Law Library to conduct Legal Research, but is generally not able to borrow any of the library materials.  Members of the State Bar of Texas who maintain offices in the Waco area may be granted an exemption on a case by case basis.  If you are a local Waco attorney and wish to apply for a patron loan card, please bring in the application with all relevant information completed.  We will need a copy of both your driver's license and your State Bar card.
